[Keelhaulers] Annual Faculty/Staff vs. Students Basketball Game

The Annual Faculty/Staff vs Student Basketball game has a deep history at Cal Maritime. The game has been played on and off (more off the last few years) since the 1980's.  The basketball game has always been a great mixer for students and faculty/staff.   This year's turn out for both teams was great.  The students wore the red jerseys while the faculty/staff sported blue.  The (10) student players were co-coached by Seniors Ryan Mack and Dylan Sanchez.  The (13) faculty/staff players were coached by our own Dennis Cox, head coach of the women's intercollegiate basketball team.  The game started slow but then the students put on an 8 point run stunning the blue team.  Soon the faculty/staff woke up and the race was on.  When the final gun sounded in the 2nd half, the score was 33-33 forcing one then another over-time.  With no end in sight, the game was christened a draw which is the 1st time (33 years) in recorded Keelhauler history this has taken place.
