Theft suspect arrested in Limassol
A 32-year-old was arrested in the early hours of Saturday in Limassol on suspicion of theft and cannabis possession.
The man was spotted acting suspiciously, according to police, close to a parked car, shortly after they received a complaint of the theft of a church collection box in the area.
Just after midnight, officers on patrol observed the suspect acting suspiciously and approached him. It turned out they said, he was the driver. Searching his car they said they found the donation box that had been broken into, and also burglary tools in the vehicle.
They also said they found 1.3g of cannabis and he was arrested.
