A conversation with Lieutenant-General Roméo Dallaire

UVic’s Department of Humanities honoured Roméo Dallaire as the first recipient of their Public Humanist award for his role as the commander of the United Nations peacekeeping mission during the Rwandan Genocide and continued work as an international humanitarian. Dallaire took a moment at the end of the evening for an exclusive interview with the Martlet, where he shared his feelings on the Humanitas awards, activism, and something he believes should be a post-graduation right of passage.
