Vertigo-inducing Palm Springs tram, damaged by flooding, set to reopen next week
After shuttling giddy tourists up and down San Jacinto Peak for more than 50 years, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway reopens next week following 48 days of repairs for flood damage.
Fans of the rotating tram, the largest of its kind in the world, will be able to enjoy their jaws dropping, their heart rate quickening, the sweat on their brows thickening once again as they soar high above the Coachella Valley and nearly to the tippy top of San Jacinto before descending back down into the rugged Chino Canyon.
