Netflix viewers horrified as Dynasty’s Alexis Carrington has her face melted off in a fire in sickeningly violent attack

NETFLIX viewers were left horrified as Dynasty’s Alexis Carrington had her face melted off in a fire in sickeningly violent attack.

The matriarch of the Carrington family – who was played by actress Nicollette Sheridan in The CW drama – was attacked by her long-lost son Adam Carrington in the closing moments of the most recent episode.

The sickening scenes left fans feeling ill

Viewers were sickened by the scenes that featured Adam hold down his mother’s head in an open fire as she screamed in agony.

One wrote: “I’ve been watching #Dynasty on the #CW, but I really don’t like these latest beats. Alexis killing a man and getting away with it. Adam drugging Steven and getting him institutionalised. Adam HOLDING ALEXIS’ face DOWN IN A FIREPLACE AS SHE SCREAMS. WTF!!!

“I watched #Dynasty in the 80s, I know Adam was always a brutal f***. I saw him poison Alexis with a paint job. So I know he’s the bad guy. But on a show of morally reprehensible people, holding Alexis’ FACE IN A FIRE is a bridge too far … even if that is a device for recasting.”

A second said: “Wait how the hell did Adam just shove Alexis’s head in a burning pit of fire?!!!!! #Dynasty”

Adam took great pleasure in hurting his mother
Alexis will be recast in the show
Adam has become the new villain in the show

A third commented: “I was screaming when Adam shoved Alexis face into the fire! I hope Kim Cattrall, Eileen Davidson or Heather Locklear will play her now. #Dynasty”

Another added: “Did he really just push his mothers head into fire! #DYNASTY!!”

The scenes come as it was confirmed Alexis would be re-cast following Nicollette leaving the series.

She said in a statement: “Working on the Dynasty reboot and reprising the iconic role of Alexis has been thoroughly enjoyable, but the chance to spend precious time with my terminally ill mother is more important to me right now.

“I am profoundly grateful to Mark Pedowitz (The CW) and David Stapf (CBS) for graciously allowing me to return to Los Angeles to be with her, and I wish them and everyone associated with the show nothing but continued success.

“I am hopeful that my fans will embrace my successor with as much passion as they embraced me.”
