Phil Wood "High-Low" and standard hub set
Apologies for the cross-posting. I bought these off the original owner a few years ago and removed them from the wheel set with the intent to build a new one. Both hubs are in good shape cosmetically. No rust. One spins fine the other is sluggish. They are both beautiful but after all of these years I doubt I will build with them
One is a rare "High-Low hub with 36 holes and 126mm spacing. This explanation came from Bike Recyclery:
In the 1970's Phil Wood released these hubs with one high flange and one low. The idea was the extra strength needed for the higher strains on the drive side, and to save weight with a small flange on the non-drive side.
The other hub is a standard. I think this is 120mm. I cant really tell you anything else about them but I know people here can.
Im asking $275 shipped OBO in the CONUS. I will not part them out.
Please pm me off-list.
Thanks,
Doug
