Trade and trade agreements can be a useful mechanism to support women’s economic empowerment and thus boost economic growth and poverty reduction around the world, Director-General Roberto Azevêdo said during a workshop on “Gender Considerations in Trade Agreements” held at the WTO on 28 March.
