Sign of spring: Quyon ferry on the move again
The Quyon ferry began operations again on Wednesday, marking the return of spring to the Ottawa River.
The ferry ran until early December. It links the village of Quyon in Quebec with a landing a little north of Fitzroy Provincial Park on the Ontario side.
Each side has a ferry leaving every 20 minutes, starting at 5:30 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends and holidays, and running into the late evening.
The ferry uses electric power and follows a cable across the river.
