Men’s Track has great day at Friends

The Larks competed at the Friends University Spring Open track meet April 5 and 6. Many of Hesston athletes had season or lifetime best times or distances.

Brian Martinez placed first in his section of the 100 meter dash. His time of 11.32 was a lifetime best.

Levi Geyer also had a lifetime best in the 5000 meter run. He won his section of the 5000 with a time of 16:37.

Seth Rudeen posted a season best triple jump and placed 5th overall in the event. His jump was 12.42 meters or 40’9″.

Jaden Lais ran a season best 2:05.90 in the 800 meter run. He lowered his time by five seconds since the previous week.

Sam Blosser ran the 10,000 meters in a lifetime best time of 41:23.

The Larks will continue their season even closer to home on April 13, as they head to Bethel College Invite in North Newton.
