26er bmx tires for touring

I have a 93' Giant iguana I'm using for commuting and eventually touring. I haven't settled on the right tire and started looking at BMX tires. I have no experience with bmx and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on this? Good or bad, brand recommendations?
