[Baseball] Tigers control Grenadiers
Georgetown College baseball continues to do the little things that make big wins possible. The No. 21 Tigers (31-10) picked up an out of conference win against a strong Indiana University Southeast team Wednesday night, 5-1.
Chris Gilbody and Ryan Gaynor, top two hitters in the batting rotation, kept the home team rolling with three hits each. Joseph Wall ran in place of Gilbody and scored twice, while Gaynor had two RBI and two runs scored.
Tyler Wagner, Zack Stack and Shota Usuda all had one hit each, while Wagner and Val Stammler drove in runs and Eric Thrower scored a run.
Kyle Fieger had a brilliant performance on the mound. He threw 81 pitches over seven innings for the win, scattering six hits and allowing no earned runs. The junior worked out of two on and no outs with only one unearned run scoring as well as a bases loaded with two outs situation with no runs scored.
