Massimiliano Allegri has revealed he is likely to seek a move away from Serie A champions Juventus.

According to The Mirror, the 51-year-old football tactician has been repeatedly linked with a switch to Chelsea in recent time, and his reaction after Juventus’ were forced to 1-1 draw with Ajax on Wednesday, saw the Italian odds as Blues next reduced from 12/1 to 4/1 by Paddy Power.

Already, they are concerns regarding Allegri’s future in Serie A, with the ex-AC Milan manager refusing to extend his deal Old Lady’s before his latest statement.

"My future? A coach does not last forever,” Allegri was quoted as saying after Juve’s draw in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Interestingly, Juventus, who are on the verge of winning the Serie A again this weekend are eager to extend Allegri’s stay at the club, with his current deal due to run out in the summer of 2020.

Allegri appeared ready to remain at Juventus recently. Responding to a question in March he said: “I would love to be compared to [Sir Alex] Ferguson, because it would mean staying for many years at Juve."

However, Wednesday’s reaction will no doubt put some managers under pressure, especially the likes of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.

The Old Lady travel to the Amsterdam Arena on Tuesday to battle Ajax in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.

Both sides last met in the same competition in November 2017, and the Catalan club were the better side after battling for supremacy over two legs.
