Two people injured after massive Boots sign falls off shop front
At least two people have been injured after a huge Boots sign fell of a shop front and ‘hit them’ in east London.
Two people were rushed to hospital after emergency services were called around 6pm on Thursday to Old Church Road in Chingford.
One witness to the incident said a woman and a man ‘screamed’ as they were ‘knocked down’ by the sign outside the Boots Chemist.
Another source said the ‘shop length sign fell onto’ staff as they were closing up.

London Ambulance Service have not yet confirmed if anyone has been seriously injured.
The incident has caused road closures and officers remain on the scene, Met Police said.
The London Fire Brigade attended the scene but left around 7pm this evening.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 6pm today to Old Church Road, E4, to reports of people who were injured.
‘We sent two ambulance crews and an incident response officer to the scene.
‘We treated two patients at the scene and took them both to hospital.’
