Spurs star hopes for significant change for football in the summer

Racism should never be a part of football. The beautiful game should be about uniting people from different backgrounds, countries and races.

Unfortunately, racism seems to be slowly creeping into football once again.

Over the past few months players in England and abroad have experienced racist abuse from fans.

One of those players was Tottenham’s Danny Rose. The Spurs man was one of the victims of racist chanting during a Euro 2020 qualifier in Montenegro.

Last week the full back admitted that he cannot wait “to see the back of football”. The thoughts of retirement were triggered by a constant lack of action from governing bodies to solve the issue.
