Two seriously hurt in Highway 17 crash near Cobden
Busy Highway 17 reopened shortly before 3 p.m. following a serious collision Thursday west of Mountain Road, about 115 kilometres west of Ottawa.
Provincial police said a tractor trailer carrying lumber collided head-on with a small SUV at about 11 a.m.
Both drivers had to be extricated by regional firefighters using specialized tools and transported to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Accident investigators were at the scene.
