Netflix fans say new zombie series Black Summer is ‘the most stressful experience’ – and BETTER than The Walking Dead
NETFLIX fans have claimed that new zombie series Black Summer is “the most stressful experience” – and BETTER than hit TV series The Walking Dead.
The eight-episode show was released on the online streaming site yesterday, and it has already proven to be a hit.
The show follows Rose, played by US actress Jaime King, who gets separated from her daughter during a zombie apocalypse.
In contrast to The Walking Dead, which kicked off as the zombies started to take over, Black Summer begins with the outbreak and the characters’ venture into the unknown.
The programme is also a prequel to SyFy series Z Nation, which was recently cancelled by TV bosses.
Taking to Twitter to share their reaction to Black Summer, one freaked out fan wrote: “Watching these people struggle to figure out how to kill these zombies stresses me THE F*** OUT.”
Another added: “I feel my blood pressure rise the more I watch.”
A third said: “I’ve never been so stressed out by a zombie apocalypse situation in my life.”
Black Summer producer, Jodi Binstock, previously said of the show: “Black Summer is referred to in Z Nation as the summer where everything went to hell, so that is where Black Summer picks up.
