The former Underworld boss has been mentally unravelling in recent weeks after receiving text messages from ‘Rana’.
Tonight she was seen walking near the remains of the factory with no shoes on.
Peter arrives behind her and she tells him: “I’m not going anywhere…don’t make me…you tell them that.”
Speaking softly, Peter replies: “There is no them, look it’s only me, I’m here to keep you safe.
“Look at your feet, you can’t walk around like that.”
But as he steps closer, she jerks back and tells him: “Don’t come near me, please don’t touch me, I know what you’re trying to do alright.”
Looking intently at her, he says: “Oh love what’s happened to you? Listen to me, I’m here to help you.”
Carla then tells him he called the police on her, but he shakes his head and asks: “What police?

“Why would I call the police on you? Come on let’s face it, I’ve never been the best of friends with coppers, it’s me you’re talking to.”
Carla replies: “I heard you and Ken whispering about me, you were plotting me. You send Alya to spy outside the house.”
But Peter tells her that was “pure coincidence” if Alya was there, and adds: “Carla, look at me please. I would never do anything to hurt you, you know that. It’s Peter, it’s me.”
Carla whispers: “They’re trying to get to me, they think I’m rotten, in here [points at heart].
“They know it.”
Peter asks: “You’re frightened aren’t you?” and as his on-off love nods, he tells her: “OK well I’ll tell you what we’ll do, we’ll go to the medical centre because we’ll be safe there.”
- Coronation Street continues Monday night at 7.30pm.
