Panic as ‘multiple people shot’ outside Love Machine nightclub in Melbourne, Australia

MULTIPLE people have been shot outside a nightclub in Australia, according to local reports.

Police said the incident unfolded outside Love Machine nightclub in Pahran at around 3.20am local time (6.20pm BST), Sky News Australia reported.

An onlooker left in a state of “shock” reported seeing the shooting from across the road.

Local news agencies including news.com.au have described the incident as an apparent drive-by shooting.

A security guard was reportedly shot in the face, by a gunman said to have been driving a “stolen Porsche Cayenne”, The Age reported.

It is not known exactly how many people been left injured, and what the extent of their injuries are.

Victoria Police said in a statement: “Investigators believe multiple people were shot outside a nightclub near Little Chapel Street and Malvern Road about 3.20 am.

“The exact circumstances are still being established.”
