Man United drop interest in Premier League star to pursue 27-year-old – report

Manchester United have ended their interest in Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and could pursue Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier instead, according to a report in England.

The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been impressed with the form of Portuguese starlet Diogo Dalot at right back in recent months.

The same article states that Dalot’s performances have prompted Solskjaer to rethink his transfer strategy in the summer and the Manchester United manager will instead look to sign a more experienced full-back.

According to the same story, PSG defender Meunier fits the bill given the Belgium international’s experience in top level football in Europe.

The 27-year-old has spent the past three seasons at the Parc des Princes, winning three successive Ligue 1 titles.

Manchester United suffered the disappointment of a 1-0 loss to La Liga giants FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night.
