Jimuel Pacquiao wins first amateur bout via KO

JIMUEL Pacquiao, son of eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, scored his first knockout victory in his first amateur fight for a charity event called Fight Against Depression Saturday night against Michael Egan at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City.

The young Pacquiao overcame a sluggish start in the opening round by finally unleashing a barrage of punches in the second round, including a powerful combination, and then finishing the fight with a solid right straight that floored his opponent with 1 minute and 11 seconds.

His father was in General Santos during the fight. Pacquiao Jr. was accompanied by friends in his first amateur bout in a mini boxing tournament that was held inside an MMA cage.
