The latest Newspoll results reveal the two major parties are neck-and-neck in the primary vote since the announcement of the federal election on May 18. The figures published in the Australian shows the Morrison government and Labor are tied with a primary vote of 39 per cent. The increase comes after One Nation's primary vote fell two points to four per cent. Labor remains in the lead in the two-party preferred vote, the Coalition trailing 48 to 52. Scott Morrison has maintained his lead over Bill Shorten as preferred prime minister, leading 46 to 35 as the campaigning gets underway. Image: News Corp Australia
