Miner BHP's UK dividends look set to break the £100bn barrier following record shareholder payouts 

The amount paid surged by almost 16 per cent, helped by FTSE 100 miner BHP’s £1.7 billion special dividend from the more than £8 billion sale of its US shale oil assets to BP.
