3rds achieve League and Cup Double

Metro League Division 2 Final – Old Wesley (3rds) 17 Blackrock (2nds) 13

The 3rds finished off a successful weekend for Old Wesley beating Blackrock 17-13 to win the Metro League Division 2 Final.  In doing so they join an elite group of teams who have won the league and cup double. Furthermore it was sweet revenge after having lost to the same opposition twice during the league stages.

Old Wesley win the League but cannot be promoted as there is already an Old Wesley team (2nds) in the higher league.
