Ukraine appeals to international tribunal for release of captured sailors
Ukraine has appealed to the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea for temporary measures against Russia for the release of Ukrainian sailors and ships seized as a result of Russian aggression in the Kerch Strait in November 2018, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said.
“Today, on my instructions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appeals to the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea with a request to take compulsory measures to the Russian side to release Ukrainian sailors,” he wrote on his Facebook page on April 16.
