Warriors Lose Roller Coaster Game at Home

Last night all seemed well with just under a half to go, but at the same time something seemed off. The had hit a few shots in a row and luckily enough had hit a few in a row himself, but the Clippers couldn't miss. On top of that it looked like the had already decided to play defensive for the rest of the game to hold onto the lead. Something you might be able to get away with if there was only a quarter left and your up by 20, but not something you can afford to do with almost half a game left to play.

Either way with 2-3 minutes left in the 4th quarter it looked as if the Warriors might end up finishing the game off with a "much closer than it ever should have been" win. But again, the Clippers wouldn't miss and Lou Williams hit a fade-away jumper with about 1:10 left on the clock to tie the game. The Warriors got lucky, though, Curry came right back and hit a clutch three off the Iguodala Screen to get the Warriors the lead back. At this point you again get the feeling that they're gonna barley squeeze out the win. Lou Williams wouldn't take it, though, and he went down the floor and hit another contested fade-away shot. Nobody could stop Lou and the Clippers, not even Klay Thompson, one of the best 1 on 1 defenders in the league. And of course you know what happened next, Landry Shamet hit a wide open three for the lead and they lost 135-131.

Obviously this doesn't mean much, they will almost definitely win the series, but if it ends up being a tougher series than they anticipated, and they're beat up going into the next series, where they will likely take on and the , it could mean trouble. Of course they're still the favorite to win it all, but splitting the first two home games of the series is never a good thing. And of course it's not just that they lost it's how they lost. If they don't turn it around next game they could be in some trouble.
