[Baseball] Point Baseball Comeback Falls Short in 8-7 AAC Loss at Bluefield
BLUEFIELD, Va. – Point University (26-17; 10-11 AAC) fell behind 8-2 after five innings and mounted a comeback with four runs in the seventh and one in the ninth inning but fell one run short and lost to Bluefield College (21-18; 10-11 AAC) by a score of 8-7, in Tuesday, April 16 Appalachian Athletic Conference baseball action on Bowen Field in Bluefield, West Virginia. Coached by John Tyler (Third season), Point, which received votes for the current NAIA Top 25 Coaches' poll, takes on the number two-ranked team in the NAIA and first-place team in the AAC, Tennessee Wesleyan University (37-7; 16-5 AAC), in a weekend conference series in Athens, Tenn., Friday, April 19 (3 p.m. game) and Saturday, April 20 (doubleheader, 1 p.m.).
