[Men's Tennis] Brescia University falls short against Indiana University East

Richmond, IN – Men's tennis team dropped a tight match with Indiana University East 3-6 on Saturday afternoon.

The match began with the Red Wolves locking up court three where Noah Ray and Daniel Stueland were defeated by Francisco Perez and Vicente Bennett 8-0. After that, #1 Daniel Paez and Danila Pyzh topped Pablo Munoz and Maxmiliano Faundez 8-4 on court two and have narrowed the gap to 1-2.

Singles play saw the Red Wolves fight back after dropping the doubles point. The first match to finish was on court three, where Francisco Perez made quick work of Daniel Stueland by beating him 6-0, 6-1. IUE added another point to the board as Ian Dillman picked up a win on court four. He beat Noah Ray by a score of 6-1, 6-1 to give the Red Wolves a 5-1 lead in the match. Brescia began their climb back as court two saw #2 Daniel Paez edge Maxmiliano Faundez 6-3, 4-6, 1-0(5). Court one needed also three sets to decide the match, #1 Danila Pyzh defeated Pablo Munoz 2-6, 7-5, 1-0(7). IUE got the 6th point when David Bennett topped Ty Durbin 6-0, 6-0.

Brescia will return home on Wednesday, April 17 to host Midway University in a 12 pm RSC match at Moreland Park.
