Quebec Chapter spring meeting (Montreal, QC)

The next meeting of the SABR Quebec Chapter will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Madison’s restaurant on Sherbrooke Street East in Montreal. All baseball fans are welcome to attend.

Chapter member Marcel Dugas has just written a book titled Jackie Robinson, un été à Montréal. The book recounts Jackie Robinson’s only season with the Montreal Royals. Marcel will tell us how this project began and how it evolved through years of research. He will also share many anecdotes about Robinson and the Royals, many of which are not well remembered today.

We will also talk about the latest news in the Quebec baseball world and beyond.

La prochaine rencontre du chapitre SABR-Québec aura lieu le 18 mai prochain au restaurant Madison’s de la rue Sherbrooke est à Montréal.

Notre ami Marcel Dugas nous parlera de son livre qui vient tout juste de paraître intitulé "Jackie Robinson, un été à Montréal". Marcel nous racontera comment il a débuté avec ce projet et comment le tout a évolué au fil du temps. Il nous fera également part de nombreuses anecdotes au sujet de la saison de Jackie Robinson avec les Royaux, certaines inédites.

Comme à notre habitude, nous discuterons également des dernières nouvelles dans le monde du baseball québécois et ailleurs.
