Pragya alleged that then Mumbai ATS chief Hemant Karkare detained her without evidence and tortured her in custody. She told party workers in Bhopal that Karkare was killed because of her curse. MP’s chief electoral officer said, “The matter was reported by our surveillance teams. We are getting it examined. The Bhopal collector has been asked to file a report by April 20.”
