Tottenham Hotspur took on Manchester City for the third time in ten days this afternoon, unfortunately falling foul of Pep Guardiola’s side on this occasion.

After beating the Citizens on away goals on Wednesday in a thrilling Champions League affair, the tempo in the hot sun was understandably lower from Spurs today.

However, they matched up to City pretty well, and it was a very even game, with City edging possession, and Tottenham edging the best chances.

On another day, Tottenham could have had a couple of goals and may have grabbed a draw or even a win at the Etihad.
