World ranked Tetsuya Hisada scores stay busy win
Earlier today in Osaka, at the EDION Arena Osaka, fight fans had the chance to cheer on world ranked Light Flyweight Tetsuya Hisada (34-9-2, 20) [久田 哲也], as he competed in a stay buy fight against Indonesian journeyman Stevanus Nana Bau (9-11-2, 2).
The bout was Hisada's first since November, when he defended the Japanese national Light Flyweight title against Akihiro Toya, and he did show a willingness to get some rounds under-his belt as he put some pressure on Bau without immediately going for the kill. Bau, to his credit, looked to try and land big shots when he could, but he struggled with accuracy and composure against the talented Japanese fighter.
In round 5 Hisada picked up his pace and landed a solid left hand to the body in the dying seconds of the round. It was a clean a shot that dropped Bau, who stayed down and was counted out an official time of 3:01 of round 5.
At the moment it's unclear when Hisada will return, but he is world ranked by all 4 world title bodies and is expected to get a world title fight before the end of 2019.
