[Baseball] Bluejays Take Series Finale over Baseball Falcons

Hillsboro, Kan. – The Tabor College Bluejays won the rubber game of the series over the Friends University Falcons 15-4 today (Apr. 20) in Hillsboro, Kan.

The Bluejays wasted no time in jumping on the Falcons, as Freddy Walker drew a leadoff walk and promptly scored on a two-run homer by Christian Stone. Tabor then got RBI doubles by Wyatt Nowack and Will Clark to take a 4-0 lead.

With the Bluejays still leading by four runs at 6-2, they created even further separation with a four-run sixth inning.

Following a two-run homer by Emilio Navarro (SR/Porterville, Calif. ) for the Falcons in the seventh, the Bluejays finished the win when Clark hit a three-run homer to cap the five-run frame.

Troy Puga (JR/Pueblo, Colo.) went a perfect 4-4 at the plate with a pair of doubles to equal his career-high output for hits. Luke Royle (SO/Dodge City, Kan. ) also drew a bases-loaded walk for the Falcons (18-28, 13-17 KCAC).

The Bluejays (32-16, 20-10 KCAC) got at least two hits from six different batters, featuring three hits each from Clark and Dominic Visentin, with Clark driving in a team-high five runs.

The Falcons will next play a non-conference game at Benedictine College Tuesday afternoon (Apr.23) at 3 pm in Atchison, Kan.

Friends will then wrap up the regular season with a weekend home series against Bethany College, starting with a single-game Friday afternoon (Apr. 26) at 4 pm at the Westurban Baseball Complex in Wichita.
