Natalie Cassidy shows off incredible 3st weight loss as she finishes London Marathon in 5hrs 27mins

NATALIE Cassidy showed off her incredible three-stone weight loss as she triumphantly crossed the finish line of the London Marathon today.

The 35-year-old EastEnders star, who plays Sonia Fowler in the soap, got round the gruelling course in five hours and 27 minutes.

She completed the race alongside a host of her soap co-stars, who having been running in honour of Barbara Windsor.

Their Barbara’s Revolutionaries team has raised more than £100,000 for Alzheimer’s charities, after the Peggy Mitchell legend was diagnosed with the disease.

Natalie, who was a dress size 16 when she was at her largest, looked super-trim as she posed for photos before today’s marathon.

The actress lost three stone training for the London Marathon with her co-stars and spoke about her regime to the RunPod podcast.

She has lost a lot of weight in recent months[/caption]

Natalie explained: ‘I have learnt how to eat and how to be comfortable with who I am… You get wiser as you get older and I just feel much more confident and comfortable.”

The star, who has daughters Eliza, eight, and Joanie, two, has been working hard to get ready for the marathon.

Mum-of-two Natalie was joined on the run by co-stars Adam Woodyatt, Emma Barton, Jamie Borthwick, Tanya Franks, Kellie Shirley and Jake Wood.

They were also accompanied by 81-year-old Barbara’s husband Scott Mitchell, 55.

Speaking before the race, he said: “It is such an amazing show of their love and friendship towards Barbara.

“It’s one thing to be friends with someone, but when people say that they’re going to give up their spare time and much needed days off and instead dedicate them to a cause that means so much, then that really is extraordinary.

“To both Barbara and me it’s so incredibly special.”
