Cano Exits After Being HBP on Left Hand, X-Rays Negative

Gary Cohen announced during the SNY broadcast that Robinson Cano‘s x-rays on his left hand have come up negative, but that he will undergo more tests on Monday to make sure he’s okay since he still has some swelling.

Robinson Cano was hit by a pitch on his left hand in the first inning of Sunday’s game by Gio Gonzalez and was promptly removed from the game.

However, the pitch was called a strike as the umpire ruled that he swung.

Juan Lagares pinch-hit for him and moved to center field while Jeff McNeil moved to second base and Brandon Nimmo moved to left field.
