[Softball] Pairings Released for Softball Tournament

SYLVANIA, Ohio - (BRACKET) - The seedings and pairings for the 2019 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Softball Tournament at Pacesetter Park have been set. Madonna (18-4, 34-12)  takes the top seed as conference champion while Lawrence Tech (16-5-1, 34-8-1) sits at No. 2. A tiebreaker gave Siena Heights (16-6, 33-17) the third seed over Aquinas (16-6, 33-17), now the fourth seed, based on run differential. Another tiebreaker was needed between UNOH (13-9, 25-13) and Cleary (13-9, 27-14). UNOH gets the fifth seed based on head-to-head competition. The seventh seed was also determined by a tiebreaker as Indiana Tech (11-11, 23-24) beat out Concordia (11-11, 25-19) on run differential.

The double elimination tournament is set for May 1-3 with May 6 reserved as the inclement weather date. In a rematch of the first games last year, Madonna will look to avoid an upset by No. 8 Concordia. UNOH hopes to repeat as tournament champion as the Racers won last year, becoming the first No. 4 seed to win the tournament.
