Watch assist king Sancho’s incredible set up for Gotze as Man Utd target justifies £100m price tag
JADON SANCHO once again showed the world why he’s arguably the hottest property on the planet with an incredible assist for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
The England star, 19, played an outrageous lofted through-ball to give his side the lead in an action-packed derby.
Sancho left the defence flat-footed with a brilliant piece of skill, floating the ball to Mario Gotze to nod Dortmund ahead.
The gorgeous pass proved to be his 14th assist of the season – the most in Europe’s Big Five leagues this season.
Sancho left Eden Hazard and Lionel Messi behind on 13 as he jumped to the top of the charts.
In reaching the milestone, Sancho drew level with Frank Lampard in most assists in one of Europe’s “Big Five” leagues in a single season.
It also fuels talk of a transfer, with the England ace linked with a move to Manchester United for £100m.
FLAMETHROWER
Sancho still has five more games after the home clash with Schalke to improve on that record, too.
But ultimately his nine-man Dortmund slumped to a disappointing defeat at home to rivals Schalke.
Danil Caligiuri scored twice, with Salif Sane and Breel Embolo scoring in the 4-2 defeat.
But the misery was compounded for Sancho after he was hit in the head by a lighter launched from the crowd.
