Woman dies after fight over parking space for grilling
A Philadelphia woman collapsed and died after a fight with a neighbor over the parking spot she was using for grilling.
The altercation began around 8:30 Friday night, the woman’s son Christian Rosa told TV station KYW. Lourdes Estremera, 57, had set up her grill in front of her rowhouse when another woman drove up and demanded to use the space to park her car, he said.
The argument turned physical, Rosa said, and police were called. While officers were speaking with Estremera, she collapsed. She died later that night in a hospital.
No arrest had been made in the case as of Sunday evening.
The street in the women’s North Philadelphia block is barely one lane wide, and residents park their cars with the right wheels on the sidewalk.
