ROBERT De Niro offers a supporting role to his puppy — lifting his pet to his face to hide from the cameras.

The acting legend, 75, was snapped out walking with daughter Helen, seven, in New York yesterday.

He later tucked the pooch under his arm as he took a call.

Last week he was caught raging at his driver for failing to pick him up.
