Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles calls out vile troll who racially abused him
AINSLEY MAITLAND-NILES has called out a man on social media following a horrendous racial slur.
The Arsenal ace picked out a comment calling him a “monkey” in reference to his sending off against Leicester on Sunday.
In response to the message reading ‘We Go Again’ a man wrote: “You are a stupid monkey get a red card VS Leicester, Arsenal will lose the competition because of your stupidity.”
Maitland-Niles, 21, took the higher ground and maturely responded: “When will the racism end? I wish you all the best in life mate.”
It comes less than two weeks after footballers boycotted social media following a spate of racist abuse.
Raheem Sterling, Troy Deeney and Ashley Young have all recently been targeted by racist comments.
A campaign launched by the PFA saw players post the message to social media: “Enough is enough. Make a stand against racism.”
Young was shockingly called a “f****** n*****” and a “monkey” by his own Manchester United supporters after the captain struggled to deal with Lionel Messi & Co in the Nou Camp.
Watford captain Deeney disabled comments on Instagram after alleged racial abuse aimed at him and his family after guiding the Hornets to the FA Cup final.
Wilfried Zaha was also branded a “diving monkey” by a Newcastle supporter after their game earlier this month.

Police also arrested a supporter that racially abused Wigan maestro Nathan Byrne online following the 2-2 draw against Bristol City earlier this month.
