Vicious fistfights keep breaking out at ‘America’s most out-of-control school’
A scandal-hit school is feared to be America’s most violent after at least four four mass brawls erupted there over the last fortnight.
The Wisconsin Conservatory of Lifelong Learning (WCLL) in Milwaukee has gone ‘out of control’ according to parents, with cellphone clips of students brawling widely circulated online.
The latest clip, released Monday, shows a boy and girl batter each other during a classroom ‘fight club’ while other students cheer them on.
Two of the other videos show mass fights erupting in the school’s corridors, with no sign of any staff members intervening to break them up.
Parent Pamela Jones was among those fearful for her child’s safety.
She told Fox6: ‘I felt that was very dangerous, so I took my child out of that school and I moved them into a new school.
‘Looking at the video, you can see it’s multiple kids out of control. Multiple kids have their cellphones out recording again.’
Jones joined other parents and community activists earlier this month to protest and demand action.
She says the only step subsequently taken by staff was to ban cellphones, with the latest fight clip suggesting even that rule is not being enforced.
Jones added: ‘This school needs to get shut down, because what they are telling us is that there is still no structure going on.’
Milwaukee Public Schools have refused to comment on the latest allegations made against the WCLL.
A spokesman previously said that extra staff had been drafted in in a bid to tackle the issues.
