In the vulnerable shoot, Joey can be seen holding her face and crying.

“Shaving my head gave me the confidence I had been searching for. It gave me that extra push that I needed to feel truly good about myself,” Joey recently revealed of her striking look as part of her role in the series.

“I’m honored that I was trusted to tell such a complex story. Being in The Act has changed my life and my outlook. I’m very grateful.”

The final episode of The Act will air on Wednesday (May 1) on Hulu.
