NEWS | An apology to Harrogate Town fans from AFC Fylde

We are writing to inform of a problem that has arisen today.

As you are probably aware we substantially reduced our ticket prices to both sets of supporters for tomorrows match.

It was done as a small gesture of appreciation to our fans for their support this season, and to encourage mere neutrals to attend.

We were informed by your club CEO this morning that this was not acceptable under league rules as we should be going by the book and charging full price.

We were unaware of this but the National League have since verified this to be fact.

Since then, we have been trying all day to work out a solution as your CEO has insisted that as Harrogate are due 50% of all gate receipts, and that we must stump up the difference (i.e. pay Harrogate up to a fiver more than we will have actually received).

We are reluctantly prepared to do this for our own fans, but not for Harrogate and as such will now have to increase all the ticket prices to you as below.

Adult Seating:  Old Price – £15 / New Price £18

Adult Standing:  Old Price – £10 / New Price £14

U16 Seating:  Old Price – £5 / New Price £10

U16 Standing:  Old Price – £3 / New Price £5

This means unfortunately that the 90 or so people who have already purchased tickets will have to be refunded and then repurchase at the higher price. 

We realise this is not a good situation but feel we have been left with no choice. The tickets will go back on sale at 8.00pm this evening at the higher price from tickets.afcfylde.co.uk

Once again we are extremely sorry this situation has arisen.
