Eric Schmidt and Diane Greene to exit Alphabet board

Alphabet Inc. said late Tuesday that former Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt and former Google Cloud CEO Diane Green are not seeking re-election to the company's board. Google is a unit of Alphabet. Alphabet class A stock was up less than 0.1% in after-hours trading. The company said that it had appointed Gilead Chief Financial Officer Robin Washington to the board as of April 25. Alphabet class A stock has gained 17.7% in the past year, as the S&P 500 index rose 11%.
