Billboard Music Awards presenters 2019: The Lady of Winterfell, the Pearson siblings, a couple of Avengers and more
The 2019 Billboard Music Awards have announced a long list of celebrity presenters for their May 1 telecast hosted by Kelly Clarkson. Joining the festivities will be Asher Angel, Becky G, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley, Cobie Smulders, Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani, David Guetta, Erin Foster and Sara Foster, Eva Longoria, Florida Georgia Line, Jennifer Hudson, Jesse Spencer, Julia Michaels, Julianne Hough, Kane Brown, Olivia Wilde, Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever, Ralph Macchio, Rob Gronkowski, Ross Lynch and Kiernan Shipka, Sabrina Carpenter, Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan, Terry Crews and William Zabka.
There are a few current Billboard nominees among those presenters. Kane Brown is up for five awards this year including Top Country Artist. Florida Georgia Line are also up for Top Country Artist among their four bids. And David Guetta is up for Top Dance/Electronic Album for “7.”
It has been a busy week for a few others. Cobie Smulders (“Avengers”) and David Bautista (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) are both members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which just capped off a 22-film storyline in grand fashion with the record-breaking “Avengers: Endgame.” And Sophie Turner endured the Battle of Winterfell as Sansa Stark on “Game of Thrones.”
And of course there are some members of the NBC family among those appearing on the telecast airing on the Peacock Network. Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley can of course be seen as Pearson siblings on “This is Us,” while Jesse Spencer is the longtime star of “Chicago Fire.”
The Billboard Music Awards will also feature performances by BTS, Mariah Carey, Ciara, Lauren Daigle, Dan and Shay, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Jonas Brothers, Khalid, Tori Kelly, Madonna, Maluma, Panic! at the Disco, Paula Abdul and Taylor Swift. Host Clarkson will also perform.
