Join us Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. for all the live scoring, news and analysis from Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals as the Warriors and Rockets continue their contentious series at Oracle.

Most of the discussion locally and nationally following the Warriors’ Game 1 win on Sunday has focused on the officiating — the controversial calls and the non-calls. The Rockets lobbied hard after the game for “a fair whistle” after they felt James Harden and their 3-point shooters were fouled by the Warriors a number of times because they weren’t given enough landing space.

Perhaps ensuring that officiating will be a focus Tuesday night, the NBA assigned referee Scott Foster to the game. While Foster has had his run-ins with the Warriors in the past, it’s nothing compared with the acrimony between the Rockets and Foster. He hasn’t worked a Rockets game since Feb. 21 when James Harden was fined $25,000 for saying Foster is “rude and arrogant” and said he shouldn’t officiate Rockets games. Chris Paul, who had trouble Sunday when he was ejected and later fined $35,000 for his late-game run-in with an official, has also had a running feud with Foster.

However, for the Rockets to pull even in the series they’ll need more than just some favorable calls from the refs. They need better offensive performances from starters Clint Capela (4 points in 27 minutes) and P.J. Tucker (scoreless in 39 minutes). And, they need to shoot better than 30 percent on 3-pointers like they did in Sunday’s 104-100 loss.

It would also help for Houston to somehow slow down Kevin Durant, who was spectacular again while scoring 35 points.

The Warriors prevailed in Game 1 despite some sub-par offense from the Splash Brothers as Steph Curry (5-of-12, 18 points) and Klay Thompson (5-of-13, 13 points) combined for just 31 points. Both All-Star guards were also nursing sprained right ankles that seemingly should be better healed Tuesday.

After Tuesday, the series will move to Houston for Games 3 and 4. Game 3 will be Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Game 4 will be next Wednesday night.

Here are the projected starting lineups:
