Although there is a class of super-star soloists known internationally, there are a great many fine musicians whose reputations are more locally based, usually in one of the major cities. Living, as we do, in Western Canada, it is not so frequent for our eyes to be focused on North Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen), but there are a considerable number of first-class performers who stem from this part of world.
