Buttgieg Seeks Backing of Racist Who Ranted About "Greek Homos"

Mayor Peter Buttgieg, the failed leader of South Bend now running for president, picked a fight with Mike Pence by trying to accuse him of bigotry. Then he went out and met with an actual bigot to seek his support.

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg lunched with Rev. Al Sharpton in Harlem on Monday, receiving advice on winning over the African American community and how to talk about his sexuality with voters.

"We have got to deal with homophobia in all communities, including the black community, including the faith community," Sharpton said, who has long spoken out against homophobia and called for greater LGBTQ inclusion. "We are saying that people ought to be judged on their merits."

That's CNN, which intersects with reality almost as often as Hailey's Comet. 

Here's some of Sharpton's views in LGBTQ inclusion.

"We built pyramids before Donald Trump even knew what architecture was. We taught philosophy and astrology [sic] and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it…"

That was all the way back in 1994. Or 10 years before Sharpton got a DNC speaking slot.

If Buttgieg really wants to take on homophobia, he can ask Sharpton to apologize for his remarks. Instead of seeking his advice. But Buttgieg pretends to be a gay rights crusader when falsely attacking Mike Pence. And then kisses Al "Greek Homos" Sharpton's ring.
