Waka Flocka Flame 'Safe' After Shooting at UNC Charlotte Ahead of His Concert

Waka Flocka Flame is letting his fans know he is ok after there was shooting at his concert venue.

Ahead of the 32-year-old rapper’s free concert on Tuesday night (April 30), gun shots were reported on campus of the University of North Carolina Charlotte at around 5:40pm.

“I’m safe y’all,” Waka tweeted. On his Instagram Stories, the rapper added: “I pray all my fans are safe and ok! … I will not be able to perform or even make it to the venue .. please to all my supporters and followers be safe!”

According to local emergency reports, at least two people were killed while four others were injured. Two hours after the shooting, it has been reported that one suspect is in custody and the scene is secure.
