Steph Curry leaves Game 2 with apparent finger injury

0

Curry appeared to dislocate his finger while trying to grab the basketball.

Just minutes into the Golden State Warriors game against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, Steph Curry suffered an injury to his hand. Curry appeared to hurt his finger while trying to poke the ball away from Clint Capela.

He immediately walked to the bench, and showed lots of pain. Cameras picked up what looked like a dislocated finger.

It’s impossible to know the severity of the injury. However, the Warriors have set a precedent for dislocated fingers - earlier in the season Klay Thompson suffered one, and returned later in the game.

Knowing Curry’s toughness, and the severity of the game, the two-time MVP will certainly want to stay in the game. But the team will obviously be careful with him. The most important thing is making sure he’s fully healthy for Saturday’s Game 3 in Houston.

Update: Curry returned to the game just a few minutes later. The official report is a dislocated middle finger on his left (non-shooting) hand. Curry had the finger popped back in and taped before returning.
