Warriors vs. Rockets: NBA trollishly assigns ref Scott Foster to officiate Game 2
The Warriors will host the Rockets for Game 2 of the second round, which will hopefully put to rest all the whining about what happened in Game 1.
I don’t know about anyone else around here, but I’m personally tired of hearing and/or reading about how Game 1 of the second round series between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets was officiated.
Others here at Golden State of Mind have already covered just how embarrassing all the whining coming from Houston has been so I won’t harp on that. But I think Steph Curry summarized my thoughts on all of this perfectly in an article at The Athletic by Marcus Thompson II:
“We understand in the playoffs, the way the game is called, it’s a little bit more physical,” Curry said. “And whether you’re trying to get fouls on every possession or not, it’s going to be 50/50 calls. And it’s just how it is. But it sucks that this is the narrative coming out of it, because we literally could exhaust our energy on that as well. So what are you going to do about it? Hopefully, Game 2, it’s about the game and how we play and making shots and the energy and intensity that we need to play with, knowing what’s at stake and then that becomes the conversation for sure.”
That’s #NoExcusesBasketball.
Anyway, as I said previously, I’m tired of hearing and reading about this nonsense officiating controversy. So I’ve chosen to illustrate the major story line of Game 2 with memes and tweets that made me laugh today.

A crappy politician, whining about the refs in a game that hasn't even been played yet??

A win tonight would feel way better than a Game 2 in the second round really should ... but I really want the Warriors to win tonight.
